CHENNAI: The Melakottaiyur branch post office near Vandalur has been upgraded into a delivery sub post office with new pincode of 600127 effective May 30.
According to an official release here, A Kuppusamy, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices,said the Melakottaiyur branch post office has been upgraded by bifurcating it from the Vandalur post office. The delivery post office will function on Vandalur-Kelambakkam main road, adjacent to Melakottaiyur panchayat office.
The upgraded post office will offer a host of services including the regular registered letter booking, parcel booking, speed post booking. The following areas are covered in the Melakottaiyur post office, Melakottaiyur, Kolapakkam, Nallambakkam, Mambakkam Ponmar, Kolathur, IIITDM, Police Academy and VIT College.
