AIADMK symbol bribery case: Sukesh Chandrasekhar's custody extended till September 16 in cheating case

COIMBATORE: A court today extended till September 16 the custody of middleman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, arrested by Delhi Police for his alleged bid to bribe an EC official on behalf of AIADMK (Amma) leader TTV Dhinakaran, in a separate seven-year-old cheating case.

Sukesh, now in Tihar Jail in Delhi in connection with the two-leaves symbol case, was brought here early today by Delhi Police by train and produced before Second Judicial Magistrate Rajkumar.

The case here related to alleged cheating of a kitchen equipment dealer Rajavelu of Rs 2.43 lakh on the promise of securing a tender from the Karnataka government in 2010.

Charges against Sukesh were framed in the cheating case by the magisterial court on July 20.
