Jallikattu protests: Railways cancels several trains today

The Southern Railways has announced the several trains are cancelled on Saturday.

CHENNAI: Due to the ongoing protests across Tamil Nadu against the ban on Jallikattu, the Southern Railways has announced the several trains are cancelled on Saturday.

According to a statement from railways, the list of cancelled trains are:  

Tiruchchirappalli – Tirunelveli Express (22627)

Karaikal – Bangalore passenger (56513)

Tiruchchirappalli – Rameswaram passenger train (56829)

Punalur – Madurai Passenger (56701)

Erode – Chennai Egmore Special (06028)

Chennai Egmore – Erode Special (06027)

Arakkonam – Bangalore passenger (56261)

Nagercoil – Coimbatore passenger (56319)

Train No.12636 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Vaigai express is partially cancelled between Madurai - Dindigul.  The train will run from Dindigul to Chennai Egmore.
