Telangana Government Names Veterinary Varsity after PV Narasimha Rao

Government decided to name an agricultural university after Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar and a veterinary university after former PM P V Narasimha Rao.

HYDERABAD: Telangana government today decided to name an agricultural university after Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar and a veterinary university after former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao.

The agricultural university, being named as 'Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University', was Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

A Government Order (GO) was issued in this regard today.

In a separate GO, the government said the Veterinary University, to be formed following the bifurcation of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati, would be named as 'Sri P V Narasimha Rao Telangana State University for Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences'.
