HYDERABAD: At a time when the political circles are abuzz with emergence of ‘Baahubali’ for the Congress, BJP MLA from Uppal NVVS Prabhakar created a stir that a Yogi will emerge in Telangana State who will steer the party to victory and become Chief Minister of the state.

“Another Yogi (indirectly referring to Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh) would emerge in Telangana too and would become the Chief Minister,” Prabhakar said in the state Assembly.

Participating in the debate on demands of Irrigation and Panchayat Raj departments, Prabhakar said the Central government headed by BJP had been implementing several schemes and supporting the state government.

“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao repeatedly said that they would not seek votes, if 2BHK and Mission Bhagiratha projects are not completed. We too can say like that. If the Centre fails to implement the schemes, BJP too will not seek votes,” he said.

Prabhakar lashed out at the state government for the irregularities in irrigation project tenders and demanded government to conduct debates with all party leaders at all the irrigation project sites to discuss the irregularities.

“The state government changed rules for awarding tenders to only two contracting agencies for Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation project. We are ready to prove our allegations, if the state government constituted a House Committee on Irrigation projects,” Prabhakar said.

Meanwhile, outside the Assembly, party’s floor leader G Kishan Reddy said that a Baahubali will emerge from BJP and not from the Congress ahead of the 2019 elections.
