KARIMNAGAR: The state government would present silver filigree mementoes made in Karimnagar, to Ivanka Trump during her visit to Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).
The state government has placed orders worth Rs 40 lakh with Silver Filigree of Karimnagar (SIFKA), the Karimnagar-based filigree items manufacturing unit.
General secretary of SIFKA Gadde Ashok Kumar told Express that about 75 silver filigree workers have been working day and night to prepare about 50 varieties of articles. Based on the order SIFKA has prepared a replica of Charminar (2.5 kg), Veena, a traditional musical instrument, swan (1.5 kg), peacock (4 kg), Kakatiya Thoranam (Kakatiya dynasty arch) (3.5 kg) and 46 other articles.
