Thunchan national festival from Dec 21

The capital will host the Thunchan national festival as part of the 460th Samadhi Day of  Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, the father of Malayalam language and  founder of Bhakthi movement in Kerala.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The capital will host the Thunchan national festival as part of the 460th Samadhi Day of  Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan, the father of Malayalam language and  founder of Bhakthi movement in Kerala.

Thunchan Bhakthiprasthana Padanakendram, Manaluvila and Venpakal will organise the Thunchan National Festival at Thunchan gramam from December 21. Fifty one noted personalities together will light the ceremonial lamp at 9 am.

A remembrance meet will also be held on the same day at 11 am at  Thiruvananthapuram Press club. O Rajagopal MLA will inaugurate the function. Former Minister M M Hassan will preside. State Tourism  Development Corporation chairman M Vijayakumar, K Anzalan, MLA and poet Vinod Vaisakhi will speak.
