IMA President Dr RV Asokan urges Centre to declare hospitals as 'safe zones'

In the wake of the brutal rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at Kolkata’s R G Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. The Indian Medical Association President Dr RV Asokan demanded the Union government to declare hospitals as ‘safe zones’. He said “Our demands are two-fold. Our demands to the Union government have been pending for the past two decades.
