The death toll in the attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach during a Hanukkah celebration has risen to 15. Authorities said the attackers were a father and son. The 50-year-old father was shot dead by police, while his 24-year-old son was wounded and is being treated in hospital. An eyewitness to the shooting said on Monday that he was “still trying to process” the attack that killed at least 15 people. He said he heard gunshots and ran towards safety, leaving his belongings behind on the beach. Another eyewitness described scenes of panic and confusion, saying he saw an elderly person being shot as people screamed during the unfolding attack.
