India and Brazil agreed on a bilateral trade target of USD 20 billion in the next five years on February 21. An agreement was reached on critical minerals and rare earths following extensive talks between the two countries.
A ceremonial welcome was accorded, along with a Guard of Honour, to President Lula at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. He was received by Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. Lula is on a state visit to India following Modi's July 2025 visit to Brazil.
