Swine flu toll rises to 12 in Kurnool dist

KURNOOL: A 50-year-old woman of Jupadubangla village succumbed to swine flu at Kurnool Government General Hospital (GGH) on Monday, taking the toll in the district in the last 36 days to 12.  

According to a bulletin released by GGH Superintendent Dr P Chandrasekhar,  the woman was undergoing treatment for the past eight days. 

“About 30 people have tested positive for H1N1 virus and among them 12 have died. Another 12 patients have been discharged from the hospital,” Chandrasekhar said.  “The remaining six are still undergoing treatment in the special ward of the hospital,” he said.
