BANGALORE: Pondicherry University Vice- Chancellor Prof(Dr) Jalees Ahmed Khan Tareen is the nominee of the University Grants Commission(UGC) to the four member search committee for Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor.
Prof Tareen is also a member of the University Grants Commission, and was the former Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University.
The BU Syndicate’s nominee is Prof Sharmim Jairajpuri, former director of Zoological Survey of India, and former Vice Chancellore of Maulana Azad National Urdu University.
The government may nominate former V-C of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University(Ajmer) Puroshottam Lal Chaturvedi as its nominee.
The nominee of the Chancellor is yet to be named.
