BANGALORE: A 24-year-old employee of a private company lost his life in an accident on Thursday night under Madiwala police station limits. The victim was identified as KS Mithun, a native of Virajpet in Coorg.

He met with the accident at about 10 pm near Belandur Junction. Madiwala police said that Mithun was on his way from Madiwala to Marathahalli when he accidentally hit the central median and died on the spot.

He was working in a Reebok showroom on MG Road.

In another accident registered with the Basavanagudi police, a 19-year-old student of BSc lost his life when a speeding truck hit his motorcycle and ran over him at KR Circle.

The victim was identified as Rahul Jain, who was pursuing his first year BSc at Dayananda Sagar college.

The victim lost his life on the spot. Basavanagudi police are investigating.
