Come October 20, a silent corner in Bangalore of Jayamahal Palace lawns will emit enticing waves of Sarod being played by the Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan along with his two sons — Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan. An evening that will be different from any other that would last for a few moments but leave an impression forever.

It will be an honour for every music lover to witness an eminent personality like the Ustad, who has performed internationally since the 1960s and is awarded India's second highest civilian honour, the Padma Vibhushan 

An elating experience with the three stalwarts of Sarod for the first time in Bangalore, all due to the untiring efforts of the team of Maestro. It will be a milestone event as it will be the first-ever concert of Indian classical music in Bangalore where all the three will perform under one roof.

A distinguished maestro in the field of playing Sarod, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is popularly known as the Sarod Samrat. He is  a sixth generation sarod player in his renowned family.

The credit of modifying the sarod as a classical instrument goes to his ancestors of the Bangash lineage originating from Senia Bangash School of Music.

The present day sarod has been derived by modifying the ancient folk instrument of Iran known as Rabab. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan has come to this stage of life after much determination and hard work.

Maestro is a unique platform that has pledged to unveil every time a master of the field of respective art who will enthral the senses of the discerning few.

As the name suggests, it is an initiative to commemorate and celebrate the real masters of art from myriad platforms.  A rare blend of entertainment and art that sets the mood with the event.
