Citizens’ manifesto ready

Namma Bengaluru Foundation, along with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in the city, has brought out a ‘Citizens Manifesto’ to seek proactive participation from city MLAs to resolve civic and other issues in the city.

Citizens Manifesto - a wish list of Bangalore’s citizens for the overall development of the city - is likely to be presented to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and 28 newly-elected MLAs of the city on June 7.

Some of the suggestions put forth by the forum for discussion include, strengthening the Lokayukta Act,  amending the Transparency Act, setting up of an independent solid waste management authority and establishing the Institute of Urban Planning.
