BENGALURU: Young Scholars Academy (YSA) run under the aegis of the Lakshmi Narayana Charitable Trust currently offers Karnataka State Syllabus.
The school located at V Nagenahalli, R T Nagar Post also plans to add CBSE syllabus curriculum.
The school which is built on a 200,000 sq ft campus has a healthy student to teacher ratio and intends to maintain a 35:1 ratio.
YSA aims to provide the best in terms of education. The school uses Internet-based technologies under the supervision of a trained faculty. Students have access to video conferencing lessons and multimedia sessions from around the world. The school also aims to expand this programme in the coming years with seamless integration of tablet PCs, whiteboards, digital boards, projectors and networked assignments, says principal Binnie Glory.
YSA has well-furnished classrooms and the management strives to have updated computer labs and scientific equipment. The teaching aids are regularly inspected to ensure that the students have the best equipment.
The school has state of the art sports facilities and promotes sports in its curriculum. They have several tennis courts, a large playground and a track for athletics events.
Facilities at YSA are being used by athletes competing at the national level.
The school also boasts of experienced faculty and support staff who know how to make the infrastructure useful to the students. The management is also constructing a new building.
YSA aims to build not only an institution where students can learn, but also one which will remain in their hearts as they graduate and move on.
The school has plans to formally include scholarship programmes and national level sports coaching programmes. They also intend to include unique foreign language courses.
YSA provides customised educational experience to those who pursue sports and other activities at the national level to ensure that they graduate with marketable skills.
The school supports RTE, and has admitted many students under the scheme.
