BENGALURU: The residence and office of Dr Kamini A Rao, renowned gynaecologist and founder and medical director of Milann IVF Centre, were among the several locations raided by Income Tax officials on Wednesday. Dr Kamini is also a Padma Shri awardee.
Among the medical establishments that were raided include Milann IVF Treatment Centre, Clumax Diagnostic Centre and others. The raids, which began in the morning hours of Wednesday to verify the financial records of these firms, are likely to continue on Thursday.
Apart from doctors’ premises, labs, diagnostic centres, IVF clinics and medical distribution centres were also raided over alleged tax evasion, sources said. They denied any raids on builders on Wednesday.
