Nurse found dead in Bhubaneswar hospital, suicide note recovered

However, the police remained tight-lipped about the content of the note and said they are examining the details.

BHUBANESWAR: A 25-year-old nurse was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a private hospital she was working in, early on Saturday.

A native of Sanakhemundi, the victim was on night shift and her body was recovered from the staff’s washroom at about 4 am. Police sources said the woman is suspected to have taken her own life, as a suicide note and syringe was recovered from the spot.

In the note, she reportedly mentioned that she had mistakenly provided the wrong medicines to a patient. The seniors reportedly rebuked her and two other staff over the matter.

However, the police remained tight-lipped about the content of the note and said they are examining the details.

“A case of unnatural death has been registered and investigation is continuing,” said Chandrasekharpur police station IIC, Tusharkanta Sethi.

In another development, a man allegedly died by suicide at his house in Barimunda on Saturday. He reportedly took the extreme step due to a dispute with his wife.
