CHENNAI: A new hospital, designed to cater to the health care needs of residents in and around Anna Nagar, has been opened. Sarayu Family Medical Centre was inaugurated by Padma laureate Dr Mayilvahanan Natarajan, on June 12. The fully-fledged multispecialty centre has state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, with the following departments — family medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, diabetology, general surgery, dermatology, orthopaedics, cardiology, allergic diseases, psychiatry, dentistry and counselling centre.     Chairman and Medical Director, Dr KP Parthasarathi, who has treated many patients in the area over the last three decades, says, “Our vision is towards a more efficient, effective, multi-centric delivery of holistic family medical care, based on ethical and traditional medical values, assisted by the latest technology.” He also expressed their intentions to expand in six months and develop six primary day care centres at Otteri, Arumbakkam, Mogappair, Villivakam, Padi and Ambattur.
