CHENNAI: The state government announced the transfers of 12 IPS officers on Saturday.

According to a government press release A M S Gunaseelan, IGP, Establishment, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as IGP (SIC), Vigilance and Anti-corruption, while A Thukkaiandi, ADGP/additional director, DVAC, had been transferred out.

P Balasubramanian, IGP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Chennai, was transferred and posted as IGP/Chief Vigilance Officer, State Transport Corporation Ltd (Salem),  which is headquartered in Dharmapuri.

A Pari, Deputy IGP, Social Justice and Human Rights, Chennai, has been posted as Chief Vigilance Officer, State Transport Corporation, Tirunelveli, in the same rank while V Jayashree, DCP, Madurai City, has been transferred and posted as SP/Principal, Police Recruit School, Perurani, Thoothukudi. Meanwhile, J Rajendran, DCP, Traffic, Madurai city, has been posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police IX Battalion, Manimuthar, Tirunelveli district, replacing M Eswaran, who was posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, VI Battalion, Madurai, in the existing vacancy.

PK Senthilkumari, DCP (L&O), Madurai city, was transferred and posted as assistant IGP, Administration, Chennai, in the existing vacancy and R Chinnasamy, SP, Training-II, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, XI Battalion, Rajapalayam, in the existing vacancy.

Further N Rajasekaran, SP, Sivagangai district, was posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, XII Battalion (CSG), Mandapam, Manimuthar, replacing R Tamilchandran and Praveen Kumar Abhinapu, SP, Crime Branch-II CID, Chennai, was posted as SP, Theni district, replacing V Balakrishnan. N M Mayilvahanan, Superintendent of Police, was posted as SP, Salem district, replacing N Arivuselvam, who was transferred.
