Nataka Mudhra Award for Kutti Padmini

Popular stage and film actor Kutti Padmini was presented the Nataka Mudhra Award by the Mudra Association for her outstanding contribution to theatre, here on Sunday.

Presenting the award to Padmini, actor Sachu, member and secretary of the Tamil Nadu Prose, Poetry and Drama Association, recalled her long association with the actor and pointed to the successful television serials produced by her.

The event was part of the ongoing drama festival – ‘Nadaga Rathinangal – conducted by Mudhra Association from June 9 to 15 at Sri Ramakrishna Mission School campus in T Nagar.

Industrialist Nalli Kuppusamy presided over the event. The ‘Nadaga Rathinangal’ festival would feature seven dramas, including Komal Swaminathan’s ‘Thanneer Thanneer’ on June 13.
