Distribution of application forms for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2013 began in 59 centres across the state on Saturday.
Purchase and submitting of the duly filled-in forms is a must for candidates intending to participate in the counselling for admissions to engineering courses in State colleges, which is set to begin on June 21. The forms, costing Rs 500 each (`250 for SC/ ST), would be made available at the centres till May 20, which is also the last date for submission of filled-in applications.
Secretary of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Dr V Rhymend Uthariaraj, told Express that they were expecting an increase of about 10,000 in the number of students taking part in the admission process this year. “As many as 2.5 lakh application forms have been printed,” he said. He added that the admission process would involve about 553 engineering colleges in the State.
