Teen ends life as boyfriend stops talking

A textile store employee in T Nagar, who consumed hair dye at her hostel in Ramasamy Street after she had a tiff with her boyfriend, died at the Goverment Hospital here Wednesday night.

According to police, Ramya (18), a native of Girigampet near Gingee, an employee with Saravana Selvarathnam Textiles Store in T Nagar, was found unconscious at her hostel room around 6 am.

Her roommates found an empt hair dye bottle near her and her mouth was filled with froth. Ramya was rushed to Government Royapettah Hospital, where she died.

Enquiries revealed that she was upset with her boyfriend, who stopped talking to her. She had left a suicide note in this regard.
