Gang Murders Notorious Sholavaram Rowdy in Chennai

CHENNAI: A 38-year-old history sheeter from Sholavaram was brutally murdered by his gang after a vertical split due to his tuscle with the second in command, at Thathan Kuppam in Rajamangalam, late on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Kumar, a notorious history-sheeter. The incident came to light on Friday afternoon after passersby noticed a body of a man with his head smashed in a vacant plot secured by a compound wall.

Following a reconciliation, Kumar and his aide-turned foe Das, consumed liquor with their comrades in crime. An altercation broke out when Das expressed his wish to take over the reins from Kumar.

The altercation culminated with the rest thrashing the head of Kumar with a huge stone. Rajamangalam Police recovered the body and moved it to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem.
