CHENNAI:Mirage Film Institute in T Nagar is offering a weekend part- time course in script writing, starting on March 28. The course runs on Saturdays over a period of two months. It is designed for working professionals and students who wish to enter the film industry with their own script. Even if the participant is new to writing, this exciting course will help him/her complete their first feature film script. The participant will learn how to organically develop a story from an idea, choose realistic characters, create believable scenes and write an engaging movie script.

They will also learn how to adapt a novel to the big screen. The course will train participants on how to pitch their story to producers and directors so that it can be made into a film. Participants will complete the first draft of their movie script by the end of the course. The tutor Sam Kumar studied Script Writing in the US from Syd Field, the godfather of modern script writing. He has written and directed many documentary films, short films and corporate films in the US and Singapore. Certificates will be awarded on successful completion of the course.
