NEW DELHI: Boasting about his shooting skills nearly cost a man his life as he was shot at by his friend in southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar, police said today.

Naushad, in his twenties, was having drinks with his two other friends last night. He was bragging about how good he was at shooting and flaunted a gun to his friends, the police said.

Suddenly, one of them, Aqeed, took the gun and pointed it at Naushad's temple and pulled the trigger, they said.

Soon Naushad collapsed and his friends fled the spot, the police said. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where his condition was stated to be critical.

Both the men, who are also in their twenties, are yet to be arrested, they said.
