HYDERABAD: All the 11 nominations filed by Congress and TDP candidates for the vacant 11 MLC seats before the Assembly secretary and Returning officer S Raja Sadaram were found to be in order and valid after scrutiny this morning.

Though the election for the above seats is unanimous, the result will be declared officially only on January 30 i.e. after the end of withdrawal of nominations at 3 p.m. on the day. It was reported that eight Congress and three TDP candidates have filed nomination papers here yesterday for the Legislative Council biennial polls.

Congress candidates KR Amos, Konijeti Rosaiah, Gundumala Thippe Swamy, Nagapuri Rajalingam, R Padma Raju, Peer Shabbir Ahmed, K Yadava Reddy and Singam Basava Punnaiah, and TDP members Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Balasani Laxmi Narayana and Bodakunti Venkateswarlu were among the nominated candidates for election to the AP Legislative Council.
