World environment day at HICC & NHCC

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre (NHCC) and Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) engaged in activities promoting environment protection and energy conservation on World Environment Day which was celebrated on Wednesday. The celebrations started with a free pollution check-up for the vehicles owned by the employees to help reduce air pollution levels and improve the efficiency of the vehicles.

A sapling plantation drive was carried out by employees of NHCC at an old age home run by CR foundation in Kondapur. The hotel premises hosted a lake cleaning programme and collected 30 bags of garbage weighing about 40 kilos each from the water-body on its premises. The staff and management also participated in a 20 kilometre bicycle rally organized in association with Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and Hyderabad Bicycle Club.

Keeping in line with the present year’s theme of ‘Think. Eat. Save’ the management and staff of NHCC and HICC also committed their support to food safety and conversation.
