In order to avoid public inconvenience and to facilitate smooth flow of traffic in view of the ‘fish prasadam’ distribution to asthmatics at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally here on June 8 and 9, the following directions have been issued by Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma to people who will attend the event:
People coming in 4-wheelers from the Public Gardens side have to park their vehicles at the Government Junior College for Girls, Nampally, and proceed on foot through the Ajanta Gate. If the parking space there becomes full, vehicles have to be parked at the Public Gardens.
People coming in buses/vans to alight at bamboo adda on Malakunta Road, and walk up to the venue and vehicles to be parked at Goshamahal.
VIPs with car passes to proceed from Taj Island and Gandhi Bhavan towards Central Warehousing Corporation where their vehicles will be parked.
After the VIPs take the prasadam, their cars will exit from the Exhibition Club Gate, take a left turn, join the Darusalam Road and proceed towards Ek Minar Mosque. VIP pass-holders riding 2-wheelers will also travel on the same road.
Bikers to park their vehicles in the open at Indira Bhavan, Chandra Vihar, Gruhakalpa and in the lane beside Midas High School. If the above places are filled to capacity, the 2-wheelers are to be parked at Public Gardens.
Government and military vehicles without car passes to be parked at Gagan Vihar.
All police vehicles (4-wheelers) on duty to be parked at the DEO office building and 2-wheelers in the setback area opposite Andhra Bank (APHB).
All vehicular traffic from the MJ Market side towards Nampally will be diverted at MJ Market towards GPO and Nampally Station Road via T Junction.
HMWSSB water tankers, fisheries department’s vehicles bringing fish to the venue and voluntary organisations’ vehicles carrying food materials with valid passes will be exempted from this diversion.
General traffic from the MJ bridge towards Nampally will be diverted at Alaska towards Darusalam, Ek Minar, etc.
