Express News Service

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has cautioned the general public not to purchase any flat or land in Survey Number 78, Gokul Plots, Hafeezpet village in Serilingampally mandal without valid permission from the competent authority failing which necessary action will be taken. The GHMC is not responsible for future consequences if any on the said buildings, it said.

GHMC commissioner MT Krishna Babu stated that the said land is a government land as per the revenue records and most of the occupiers do not have any title over the plots and constructed buildings unauthorisedly over the past few years without obtaining any building permission from the GHMC.

Though the GHMC is stopping and demolishing the illegal constructions by issuing required notices to them as per the GHMC Act, a number illegal constructions are coming up in the above land.

GHMC has already addressed letters to  AP Transco and water board not to provide any service connection to the occupiers until occupancy certificate was obtained by the owner from the GHMC.
