Kaloji Memorial to Come up in Warangal

HYDERABAD : The Telangana government is planning to construct Kaloji Kalakendram in Warangal in memory of noted writer Kaloji Narayana Rao. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone for the Kalakendram on September 9, marking the birth anniversary of Kaloji.

The Kalakendram would be constructed on a three acre land in Bala Samundram in Hanamkonda.

It will house a huge statue of Kaloji and also a memorial park. The Kalakendram will be constructed on the lines of Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad. The Kendram will not only be useful for literary and cultural meetings, but also  for marriages and other meetings.  Accordingly, a dining hall and an auditorium will also come up in the Kalakendram.

The chief minister reviewed the arrangements for Kaloji birth centenary celebrations to be held on September 9. Chandrasekhara Rao will participate in the  birth anniversary celebrations in Warangal in the morning and at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad in the evening.
