Cartoon Shows Getting Deteriorated in their Quality?

Is it relevant that the quality of cartoon shows has come down where currently children spend more time with hand-devices rather than watch television?

HYDERABAD: The Mystery Van in Scooby Doo, the tiny frock and long legs of Dee Dee who always created chaos in Dexter’s Laboratory, the myth that spinach gives you instant energy just like Popeye in The Popeye Show or the little lessons that Lulu taught us in The Little Lulu Show are sure going to bring back beautiful memories for those who were born in the 90s.

With changing times, cartoons too changed. Not only the variety of cartoon shows, but the characters too are not as vibrant as they used to be.

Limited to wonder cat Doraemon, naughty kid Shin Chan and the crowd favourite Chhota Bheem, children today have limited options. They are, however, spread across every medium – from your television show to your mobile device.

Are children missing out on variety, creativity and quality cartoon shows or is it relevant to the current time when children spend more time on hand held devices and watch what they want at the time they like, rather than sit in front of television sets and watch shows that are timed?
