HYDERABAD: As many as eight African nationals have been deported from Hyderabad to their respective countries, after Rachakonda police found them overstaying illegally after the expiry of their visa.
Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said that process is on to deport four more overstaying foreigners.

In a recent survey conducted by Rachakonda police, it was found that 560 foreign nationals are living alone in Rachakonda commissionerate limits, among which 155 foreigners were not living at the address they had informed to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office.

The police also identified that 12 foreign nationals did not have a valid visa to live in India but were overstaying and they were untraceable for a long time as they moved out of the address mentioned to the FRRO. “In the recent survey, the overstaying foreigners were identified and letters were addressed to FRRO about those and restriction orders were imposed on them,” said commissioner.
