HYDERABAD:  A 60-year-old person living with mental illness, who was detained by police for making hoax call to Falaknuma Palace, was shifted to Erragadda mental hospital for proper treatment. The person named Yellaiah, a resident of Moula-Ali, made a hoax call to medical emergency number two days ago stating that they planted highly explosive material and they would blast at any time at the Falaknuma palace where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald J Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump were attending dinner.

“As Yellaiah is mentally unstable, we have taken him into custody. He was in drunken condition. We have shifted him to mental hospital for proper treatment. There would be no further action against him as per court directions,’’ said Inspector Yadagiri. Meanwhile, police also called his family members and collected details about him. Based on information given by family members, police have decided to shift Yellaiah to hospital.
