HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court has asked the Andhra Pradesh government to inform the court about the Action Taken Report (ATR) against the Kurnool Superintendent of Police A Ravi Krishna, who gave AK 47 rifle to his wife for firing at the police range in violation of the Arms Act, 1959.

Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao was dealing with a petition by B Purushothama Reddy, an advocate of the city, seeking directions to the chief secretary of AP state to take action against the SP concerned for the alleged misconduct. On the other hand, government counsel for home Vidyavathi denied the allegation of use of AK 47 rifle by the wife of SP.

After hearing both the sides, the judge directed the state chief secretary to inform about the steps taken against the SP and adjourned by two weeks.
