HYDERABAD: A day after the term of the Mutawali appointed as temporary custodian of Dargah Yousufain in Nampally ended, some employees from TS Wakf Board visited the dargah on Saturday to take over its management.

However, according to Wakf Board members, the attenders at the dargah refused to obey their orders and asked them to come later.

“A Wakf official of superintendent rank, an inspector, an auditor and a security guard had reached the dargah at 4 am on Saturday claiming its custody. Now, the people guarding the dargah have made it difficult for us to get the custody, we have approached Habeeb Nagar police to sort out the issue,” Wakf Board CEO MA Mannan Farooqui told Express.

After Mohammed Faisal Ali Shah was suspended from the post of Mutawali of the dargah in March 2014 on grounds of allegations by the then Special Officer of Waqf Board SM Iqbal, the Board had appointed Syed Shah Abulfatah Hasan Shabbir Hussaini as his replacement.
