HYDERABAD: A minor goofup by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Advisor to President of the US, Ivanka Trump marked the inaugural of GES 2017. The inaugural was to be kickstarted once Modi and Trump press on the icons of national flags of India and USA respectively on a small screen on the humanoid robot named Mitra developed by the Bengaluru based, Invention Robotics.

While Modi and Trump were to press the icons one after another, both ended up pressing on the icons simultaneously. As a result the robot could be heard speaking a sentence welcoming one of them in its voice before it could end its sentence welcoming the other.
