HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday apprehended two Osmania University employees for allegedly accepting a Rs 13,000 bribe.

The accused were identified as senior assistant Aravind and junior assistant K Ramesh. According to ACB officials, Ramesh, working in the Pay Bill Section of the Administration Building, demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant on behalf of himself and Aravind as a reward for processing and forwarding the pension benefits file of the complainant’s mother.

The tainted amount was recovered from Ramesh, and chemical tests on both his hands returned positive. The ACB stated that the officials acted dishonestly to obtain undue advantage. Both have been arrested and produced before a Nampally court. Investigation is under way.
