KOCHI: The concept of personalised feng shui or feng shui that supports and enhances the inner feng shui of an individual depends on the colour and cut of the clothing that best suits him or her and the self-element derived from certain inputs of the individual.
In the eastern hemisphere a splash of red on the attire is considered to usher in good luck since ancient times and this life-giving bright vermillion has in fact been a traditional symbol of strength and power. It is also said to have protective powers against the negative ‘chi’. In feng shui terms red is considered yang or positive.
Feng shui classifies all human beings as animal signs based on the year of birth, element and time.
There are 12 animal signs and each of them in turn combines with 2 other animal signs which are said to be the supporting animal signs also known as ‘astrological allies’. Other than this, each animal sign is supported by the symbol of the ‘secret friend’ sign which used as embroidery, brooch or jewellery or even just displayed at home helps a person to tide over a bad year. The secret friends for some of the animal signs are:- For horse it is sheep, for snake it is monkey, for dragon it is rooster, for rabbit it is dog, for tiger it is pig and for ox it is rat. One could adapt these designs to muster support from the secret friend and for sure this is said to bring about a change during the animal sign afflictions.
To be always surrounded by auspicious vibrations and good energy, we can carry out feng shui corrections to our premises but why stop there? You could extend it to your jewel box too. Feng shui jewellery is not about an expensive range of stones but about the right type of stone, design and motif.
For the Chinese, the dragon is the most magnificent, majestic and the mightiest of all celestial creatures, which brings bountiful rain and great fortune.
Adapting dragon motifs as lapel pin, tie pin, pendant, ring and brooch are considered good feng shui especially for good health, wealth and happiness.
Being well groomed does not mean dressing in the trendiest of clothing and expensive designer wear. It simply means a balanced harmonious look.
Adapting the right jewellery and accessories is in turn a vital aspect of feng shui.
Whether the jewellery you wear is original or an imitation, it should represent excellent and harmonious feng shui to strengthen the inner feng shui of the individual.
This is due to the fact that the mixture of the earth element, consisting of stones and the metal element, consisting of gold, platinum and silver reflects the productive cycle of the elements. Chosing the right design and colour for an attire goes a long way towards enhancing the feng shui of an individual.
The five elements constitute the central pillar for feng shui analysis with each possessing yin (female) or yang (male) attributes. One could use feng shui designs in simple rings by adapting the right shape, size and color. The element rings capture the intrinsic essence of these five elements.
Each ring symbolises an element, reflected in its shape, colour and choice of precious stones and dimensions. For example, the metal element brings success in careers while the earth element opens the doors of luck in relationships. Thus, choose the element which most strongly symbolises your heart’s desire.
