KOCHI: A Christmas carol service was held at the CSI Immanuel Church, Broadway, on Sunday. The Most Rev S Vasanth Kumar, moderator of the Church of South India, who was the chief guest at the function, gave the Christmas message. Bishop of North Diocese Rev Dr K P Kuruvilla, Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany, CSI Synod general secretary M M Philip, and Immanuel Church vicar Rev Kurian Peter spoke.

Bishop Vasanth Kumar released the 2011 church calendar on the occasion. Assistant vicar Rev Ruban V proposed a vote of thanks. The beautifullyilluminated church premises provided the right ambience for a musical feast with the choir, including little children, presenting enchanting carol songs one after the other for over two hours ?
