Perumbavoor police have sought the custody of Saritha S Nair accused of duping several people across the state by making false promises of setting up solar plants and windmills.

Perumbavoor police have sought the custody of Saritha S Nair accused of duping several people across the state by making false promises of setting up solar plants and windmills.

V Roy, circle inspector, Perumbavoor police said that many of her victims were now officially registering their complaints in their respective police stations.

“The mastermind behind the crime is Biju, Saritha’s husband. The police is trying to nab Biju who is still absconding. The preliminary understanding is that they had spread their net to other states also,” he said.

A case was registered in Perumbavoor station against the couple for cheating Sajjad of `40.5 lakh. Saritha was arrested from a rented house in Thiruvananthapuram the other day.
