Vinu Abraham has won the best screenplay award in Mexico International Film Festival for the film Parudeesa directed by R Sarath. It was from a fray of 30 international films that the film was selected for this honour.
Parudeesa, produced by Thampi Antony is a visual exploration into the issue of what constitutes real faith through the lives of a priest and verger. The film had also won the prize for ‘best dramatic editing’ at Amsterdam International Film Festival. B Ajithkumar is the editor of the film.
