Aadhaar adalat on June 12, 13

To settle the mounting complaints pertaining to Aadhaar cards, the district administration will conduct an adalat on June 12 and 13.

There has been several complaints regarding delay in issue of Aadhar cards. The delay experienced at a time when the card is being made mandatory for acquiring education grants, social security pensions and LPG gas subsidy is a cause of concern.

District Collector P I Sheikh Pareeth said that the adalat will open from 10 am till 4 pm on both days.

There are many who are yet to get Aadhaar cards from the postal department.

“For them, arrangements have been made to make it available online,” said K M Ibrahim, Assistant District Coordinator, Akshaya.

The Akshaya assistanct district coordinator said that people can re-register their Aadhaar registration at the adalat if the UID machine has rejected any information during registration.

“A tie-up with the IT Mission has already been made to provide the registration numbers as fast as possible,” he added.

For registration, the enrollment slip, photo and documents proving identity and address, mobile phone has to be brought.

The Dsaid that with the assistance from the district lead bank, help will be provided to link the Aadhaar card with the bank account.

The adalat is being organised with the cooperation of the National Informatics Centre and the UID Authority of India.
