Man arrested with drug ampoules

The Excise Enforcement & Anti-narcotics Special Squad on Friday arrested a 36-year-old man possessing 15 ampoules of buprenorphine injection IP and lupigesic at Nettor near Panangad. According to the squad, Melbi, son of Paul Chathanat, Edakochi, was under observation for the last few days as he was reportedly involved in illegal drug sale at Panangad, Nettoor, Edakochi, Palluruthy and Fort Kochi. The squad arrested him near Lakeshore Hospital on the NH bypass.
