14th annual say of CIAL celebrated

The 14th annual day celebrations of the Cochin International Airport Ltd were inaugurated by managing director V J Kurien on Saturday. The anniversary cake was cut and distributed by him to all CIAL employees and their families on the occasion.

Kurien also lit the traditional lamp to officially inaugurate the functions in connection with the anniversary celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated that it was the sincerity and hard work of the employees that raised CIAL to its present position of one of the top airports in the country and reminded that the same commitment and hard work were needed for future growth.

The local heads of various airlines, representatives of the Immigration and Customs Departments, Airport Authority of India and Central Industrial Security Force officials as well as senior staff of the Cochin International Aviation Services Ltd (CIASL) attended the function.

The Cochin International Airport Ltd on Monday commissioned a state-of-the-art ‘mobile intensive care vehicle’ (MICV) to provide immediate medical assistance and support in cases of extreme medical emergencies. The air-conditioned ambulance is equipped with portable ventilator, cardiac monitor, resuscitation kit, pulse oxymeter, suction machine, ECG with printer facility, oxygen and emergency medicines. Folding rolling stretcher, which automatically folds on entry into the ambulance and unfolds on exit, has also been provided in the MICV. It has special seating arrangement for the doctor by which monitoring of patient in critical situations becomes easier.
