Justice V R Krishna Iyer will receive the C P Mammu Award constituted by the C P Mammu Foundation. Excise Minister K Babu will present the award at Ernakulam Children’s Theatre on June 1. Union Minister of State for Food and Consumer Affairs K V Thomas will inaugurate the award presentation ceremony.
Foundation chairperson Sainaba Mammu will preside over the meet.
According to the organisers, Justice Krishna Iyer was selected for the award considering his comprehensive contribution for Indian Judiciary. The award consists of an amount of `10,001 and a memento.
Hibi Eden MLA, Corporation Mayor Tony Chammany, District Collector PI Sheik Pareeth, veteran journalist Leela Menon, cartoonist Yesudas and veteran journalist K M Roy will attend.
