Express News Service

The artistic skill of over 136 students between the age of 4 and 15 were on display at ‘Kaleidoscopic Vision 2013’, an expo hosted by Chaitram Institute of Art at Palluruthy.

The summer vacation exhibition conducted by the institute was inaugurated by Artist Namboodiri on Wednesday. In his inaugural address, Namboothiri said it was crucial to identify and encourage talent from the beginning. The works exhibited include the works done in oil pastels, pencil, crayons, charcoal and water colour.

Though naive, the art works exuded individuality and were expressive. Most of the works were on nature and their experiences of life.

“The aim of the institution is to train talented youngsters and to provide them a means of life,” says V B Venu who runs the institute. The exhibition will conclude on Friday.

“It was a wonderful platform for me to exhibit my talents” says Krishna Venu, a student participant.
