'Grace Marks Planned for Keralotsavam Winners'

KOTTAYAM: Forest and Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has announced that the state government is planning to introduce grace marks for state-level winners of Keralotsavam in the examinations conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).

The minister was conducting the district-level inauguration of Keralotsavam-2014, the cultural fiesta being organised by the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board in association with local self-government institutions across the state, at the MT Seminary School here on Sunday.

Thiruvanchoor said that Keralotsavam should be considered as an event which provides a stage for talented people who did not get a chance to compete in school and university festivals.

Kottayam district panchayat president Nirmala Jimmy presided over the function.

Kerala State Youth Welfare Board member Shone George, Kottayam municipal chairman M P Santhosh Kumar and deputy director of Public Instruction Jessy Joseph offered felicitations.

District panchayat vice-president Philson Mathews and district youth coordinator Joboy George among others were also present at the function.
