One-day Seminar for Corporates

KOCHI: In view of the Companies Act 2013, JTPac is organising a one-day seminar for Corporates and NGOs for creating a win-win situation on March 28.

The JTPac seminar is being held in association with the Resource Alliance and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. As per the new Companies Act, 16,000 corporates in the country will have to use two percent of their  profit for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This will help create a wider change in the society. The seminar is focused on creating a common platform for the socially responsible corporates and NGOs for utilizing this opportunity to make a real change in the society. The seminar will discuss the section 135 of the Company Law, in detail and will discuss how to make a win-win situation for the corporates and NGOs, through a partnership.

Gayathri Subramaniam, convener and chief programme executive of National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Fund Raising CSR Consultant Surat Sandhu and Manoj Chakravarthy of Center for Corporate Governance and Citizenship at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore are the trainers at the seminar.
