New Deputy Chairman for CPT

KOCHI:  G Senthilvel has assumed charge as  deputy chairman of the Cochin Port Trust (CPT).He was financial adviser and chief accounts officer (FA and CAO) at the Chennai Port Trust. An MBA in Finance, Senthilvel is associate member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India.

Earlier, he was FA and CAO of the Kandla Port Trust and chief manager (Finance) of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT).Having 28 years of experience in the port sector, Senthilvel was associated with construction of various major projects, including the Ennore Port.  Capital dredging of Mumbai Navigation was conducted when Senthilvel was having additional charge as chief manager (Port Planning and Development) of the JNPT, Mumbai. He is also a faculty at the Indian Maritime University.
